How to Use Your Acu-Clear

Take a Picture

Before you use your Acu-Clear for the first time it is very important to take a picture of the area you will be addressing. Improvements generally take place in small increments and can be difficult to see on a daily basis. Take the picture in a room that has no natural light and duplicate the exact lighting again when you take your "after" pictures.

Using the Acu-Clear

Wash your face with a good quality skin care product before using the Acu-Clear. Although optional, results will be more dramatic if used with a high quality skin care product. Products containing Vitamin A (such as Retin-A®) should only be used after using your Acu-clear as these products may block the LED lights from penetrating into the skin.

What can the Acu-clear do for you?

Put on the safety goggles/glasses provided, place the mask on your head
and adjust the head band to fit.

Switch on, allow approximately 20 minutes for each daily session. It is highly recommended you use the Acu-clear system daily as this will provide optimal results. Most people relax in the privacy of their home, watch television, catch up on phone calls, surf the Web, or read a book while using their
Acu-Clear.

You are welcome to use the Acu-clear more often than once a day if you desire.

Expected Results – Acu-Clear

The Acu-Clear is most effective if used daily on the affected areas. Teenagers, please be patient and use your Acu-Clear everyday. The Acu-Clear system should be used daily up to 30 minutes.

Once the skin is clear continue to use your Acu-Clear daily if possible, to kill any bacteria causing spots. Use it while doing homework, watching TV, on the Internet... make your Acu-clear a part of your daily lifestyle!

To enhance your Acu-Clear, Innovate Photonics recommends seeing a qualified dermatologist or esthetician along with a good topical acne product. Topical acne products should NOT be used before using your Acu-clear, but can be applied afterwards.

General Instructions

Care & Cleaning

To clean the Acu-Clear system, apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a cotton pad and thoroughly wipe the entire Acu-clear system including the tops of the LEDs. Always let the Acu-Clear dry thoroughly before using again.

Using the Acu-clear

LED lights are very bright, so you should not point the Light directly at your eyes. It is essential that you wear the provided safety glasses/goggles at all times while using the Acu-clear system.

Warnings

(a) If you are using a thyroid medication or have a thyroid condition, do not use the Acu-Clear over the thyroid gland.

(b) If you are pregnant or taking medication (such as Tetracycline) which causes light sensitivity, you should consult your physician before using Acu-clear.
